IA and Usability for Conservation Organization (October 2009)

We are pleased to work with a D.C.-area consulting firm to offer a new information architecture (IA) and taxonomy to their client, a not-for-profit land conservation organization. We are applying user-centered design techniques in developing the IA, including online card sorting and prototype testing.

Human Resource Certification Institute Web Site Redesign (May 2009)

We are delighted to support ATS in a Web redesign project for the Human Resource Certification Institute. We are providing usability analysis and testing, information architecture, and Web strategy on the engagement.

Social Media Expert Alex Brown Joins Our Team (May 2009)

We are delighted to welcome Alex Brown as our resident social media rainmaker. As an admissions director at the Wharton School, Alex introduced social media into business school recruiting. He is now better known for parlaying his passion for horseracing into an online community that has raised more than $1 million to benefit equine medical research and end horse slaughter. We look forward to putting Alex's expertise to work in support of our clients' causes.

ASAE TechnoScope Newsletter Article (April 2009)

Jacqui Olkin coauthored an article with Jeff Ward for a recent issue of ASAE's TechnoScope newsletter. The article gives a recipe for getting executive support for your IT project and the most bang for your budget. Read the article.

DC WASA Web Site Redesign and Content Revision (January 2009)

We are pleased to announce the launch of the redesigned D.C. Water and Sewer Authority Web site, www.dcwasa.com. Olkin Communications Consulting led the redesign of the site, providing methodology, strategy documentation, information architecture, and usability consulting. WebFirst managed the project and provided graphic design and programming.

We will soon begin content revisions and Web management consulting for DC WASA, under the auspices of WebFirst.
